Welcome to Obama and Indonesia. If you have a sense of humor, you may stick around and come back here again and again

Obama In Indonesia, The Untold Story

Here is the untold story. Even the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama living in the White House now never knows about this account telling about him. Serious people might raise an eyebrow and those having a sense of humor may think different way.

Once upon a time, when he lived in Jakarta Indonesia as a child during 1960's, the black-and-white TV bored most of his neighbors so that they decided to have a colorful TV set. Everyone didn't have any options but to watch TVRI the one and only official TV in this country. Obama was asleep in Menteng downtown that night (maybe an Indonesian fairy tale or some funny stories had lulled him to sleep) when a car speeding up on the nearby street suddenly pulled over and the driver went out of and abandoned it and was disappeared in the dark of the night.

There was no report whether the man was missing, kidnapped or killed. The abandoned car was not there to attract the newsmen and everything turned absurd. The exact year was unknown and Obama didn't know about it. He was having a tight sleep, probably dreaming of becoming a child actor or a story teller.

Up to now nobody seems to care about what's going on. Neither they care about this is the untold story when Obama living in Indonesia or just a joke. Politicians keep busy with the image building and people with the smart phone. Whether this story is true or fictitious, there's a popular Indonesian expression to respond such an issue, "emang gue pikirin!"

Now, readers, especially anybody learning Indonesian, choose the correct answer below to this question: what "emang gue pikirin" means?

a. Obama likes satay
b. What the hell should I care about?!

If Only Obama Continued Living In Jakarta

If Obama continued living in Jakarta, he might not speak English anymore. He would speak "Lu-lu, gue-gue" the Betawi's most proudable pronoun of I and you. He would become one of the employees working around Sudirnman-Thamrin business district and would occasionally fly to Sumatera or Borneo for any survey office task..

If he were interested in entertainment, he would probably be singing at cafes or show up on TV taking part in a comedy show like the slapstick Opera Van Java and would perform as funny as Sule, the current well-known Indonesian comedian. But Obama didn't decide living in Jakarta the rest of his life. If he continued his study to one of the favorite high schools in Jakarta, he might be seen on the street becoming a tough warrior in a student's brawl holding a samurai.

Surely, he would jump to politics. He would join in one of the outstanding political parties here and might rise to stardom quickly. Or Obama himself would establish a new party on his own, but not quite sure whether he would get so many members as quickly as he could. If he became one of the members of representatives he might go on a junket abroad visiting the USA and shook hand with the Its president whoever he would be.

Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be, and Obama has sung his own song. It's not dangdut song which he might probably sing if only he were attracted to this genre. You Indonesian guys, might think it's funny to find out that Barack Obama now is living in Jakarta as dangdut singer inspired by Rhoma Irama, the king of dangdut.

He has left Indonesia and become the President of the USA. That's the fact.

However, if only he come across this post and will reflect for a while and has his own opinion about what he would do if he continued living in Jakarta, that would be great, right? Well in the meantime, just continue singing guys ... que sera sera ...
